Marvel Crisis Protocol - Valkyrie

The last MCP character I have painted is Valkyrie. I didn't fancy the paint scheme shown on the box, so went more toward the scheme from the films with a little embellishment.

I'm pleased with the skin tones and face on this model, so hopefully starting to move that in the right direction.

Marvel Crisis Protocol - Thor

The God of Thunder, Thor, is the next model completed in my MCP collection. A bit more variation on the colours when compared to Black Panther previously, with the highlighting on the black parts a bit more recognisable this time around.

I am pleased with Thor's face on this model as well, looks a lot better than my previous MCP character faces, although I think the lips could do with a slightly darker/redder look to them to make them stand out from the rest of the skin tone of the face.

Marvel Crisis Protocol - Black Panther

The king of Wakanda, Black Panther, is the latest model I have completed from the MCP universe, to go alongside Killmonger from last week.

All black models are, apparently, difficult to show up the details on, but you get the idea (hopefully!).

Marvel Crisis Protocol - Venom

The latest offering I have from the MCP universe is the symbiote Venom. Only a few colours on this one, but from the looks of the photos I was a bit messy on the white sections on his chest / back.

Marvel Crisis Protocol - M.O.D.O.K

I think I finally found the size of face I need to get good results on with this one. MODOK, the floating head (in the main), has one giant face and the results are certainly a lot better than on the smaller models.

Marvel Crisis Protocol - Hulk

With the completion of the starter box, the first MCP expansion was the incredible Hulk. As you would expect, lots of green and purple make up this goliath. Fun model to paint.

Marvel Crisis Protocol - Doctor Octopus

Doc Ock up for show today. I remember really enjoying painting this model, which was a surprise due to the amount of green and yellow on him (which are my two least favourite colours to paint).

Otto's face turned out alright on this one, although the shade in other areas got a bit sloppy. Plenty to work on and improve on. Here are the remaining photos:

Marvel Crisis Protocol - Black Widow

Getting through the starter box for Marvel Crisis Protocol, this week Black Widow is up.

Simple and enjoyable model to paint. I feel that the face could have been done better (anyone noticing a theme at the moment, maybe something to investigate further and work on?).

Marvel Crisis Protocol - Ultron

Another visit to the Marvel universe, the supervillain and all-round evil robot Ultron.

No issues with the face on this one due to him being full metal from top to bottom with a few splashes of red in between.

Marvel Crisis Protocol - Captain Marvel

Just the one model today from Marvel Crisis Protocol - Captain Marvel.

As seems to be a theme with these models, the base coat was a little too heavy so it loses some of the details, so in my opinion a mediocre paint job. Again the face could be better, so is an area to improve in.

Marvel Crisis Protocol - Baron Zemo and Red Skull

This week I am putting up a couple of the bad guys from the Marvel Crisis Protocol miniatures game. Those of you familiar with the Marvel Universe will recognise two of Captain America's main villains in Red Skull and Baron Zemo.

Red Skull was a fun model to paint, given that he is just, primarily, black with a touch of red here and there.

The Baron was another enjoyable model to paint, although I feel his head area in general is a little messy.
